Juntos Avanzamos – Together We Advance – is a designation for credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic consumers
Immigrants are a large and vibrant part of the US economy and a key audience in the low- and moderate-income communities that community development credit unions (CDCUs) serve. In many communities, however, immigrants remain largely unbanked and vulnerable to predatory financial service providers. Inclusiv is working with member CDCUs to demonstrate that serving immigrants is both a sustainable business strategy and vital to fulfilling our collective goal of helping people of modest means achieve financial independence.
About Juntos Avanzamos
Juntos Avanzamos (“Together We Advance”) is a designation for credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic and immigrant consumers – helping them navigate the U.S. financial system and providing safe, affordable and relevant financial services. Juntos Avanzamos credit unions employ bilingual, culturally-competent staff and leadership, accept alternative forms of ID and treat all of their members with respect, regardless of immigration status. Inclusiv is leading the national expansion of Juntos Avanzamos, in partnership with the Network of Latino Credit Unions and Professionals (NLCUP); Coopera, Iowa-based consultants to the credit union industry on the Hispanic market; Cornerstone Credit Union League, and a growing number of state leagues and associations across the country. First developed by the Cornerstone League as a Hispanic outreach program in Texas, the number of Juntos Avanzamos credit unions is expanding rapidly; today the network includes 134 credit unions in 28 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

Juntos Avanzamos – Together We Advance - es una designación que se otorga a las cooperativas de crédito comprometidas a servir y educar a los consumidores hispanos. Juntos Avanzamos fue creado por la Liga Cornerstore de Credit Unions como un programa de difusión de inmigrantes en Texas. Inclusiv está liderando la expansión nacional de Juntos Avanzamos, en colaboración con la Red de Profesionales Latinos de los Credit Unions (NLCUP por sus siglas en Inglés); la firma Consultora Coopera, con sede en Iowa provee consultoría a los Credit Unions para atender el mercado hispano; y un número cada vez mayor de las ligas estatales y asociaciones de todo el país, incluida la Liga Cornerstone, las ligas de Credit Unions de California y Nevada, la Asociación de Credit Union West Mountain, la Asociación de Credit Unions de New México, y la Asociación de Credit Unions de Iowa. El número de cooperativas de crédito juntos avanzamos se está expandiendo rápidamente; hasta el día de hoy, la red incluye 134 uniones de crédito en 28 estados, Puerto Rico y el Distrito de Columbia.
