What is a Community Development Supporter?

Credit Unions

Credit unions that may not currently have a predominantly low-income membership but value the mission of community development credit unions and want to support our work.

Community Development Supporters get Federation newsletters and bulletins, as well as discounted member rates on publications, conferences and seminars. They are also eligible to participate in the Federation’s CDCU Institute™ and financial literacy programs.

Non-Credit Union Organizations and Individuals

As financial cooperatives, credit unions are the most effective mechanism to empower underserved consumers with the tools to achieve self-sufficiency: financial education, savings mobilization, asset building initiatives, affordable lending products, etc.

As such, we believe that there are many organizations and individuals who would be interested in supporting the Federation's efforts to help strengthen the CDCU movement, and we welcome organizations and individuals who share our values and vision of financial inclusion for all to join us as community development supporters.  Your support will help credit unions from a cross the nation to better serve their communities.

Non-credit union Community Development Supporters enjoy discounts on Federation seminars, training events, publications, and consulting services.
