After receiving the
applications from the credit unions, each request is analyzed and assessed by a
member of the Capitalization Staff.
This includes a review of its history and its mission, an analysis of the
historical financial performance of the credit union, and an assessment of its
business plan and financial projections (if required; see
Capitalization Product Descriptions). The assessment is
written up and submitted to the Committee and discussed and decided at the
meeting.
The Capitalization Committee and the
Board of Directors has approved the “Management Policies” for the Capitalization
Program. The Policies cover such
things as limits, interest rates, maximum maturities, and benchmark financial
indicators.
