About this Event
This year’s conference promises to be an exciting and informative event featuring keynote presentations, panel presentations, and breakout workshops, on topics of special interest to CDFIs.
Attendees will hear from a great line-up of presenters representing the U.S. Treasury Department CDFI Fund; Empire State Development Corporation; Green For All; NYSERDA; Community Preservation Corporation; the New York City Office of Financial Empowerment; NeighborWorks, the Georgia Green Loan Fund ; the Non-Profit Finance Fund; and of course, the Federation.
Based on the interest of community development professionals from around the state, and thanks to the generous support from our sponsors, we are expanding this year’s conference to include an additional half day. We hope this expanded schedule will allow attendees to hear from all our presenters, while providing an apportunity to network with colleagues from around the state. In addition to our extensive conference schedule, we are also proud to showcase one or our allies, Microbiz New York, who will officially relaunch its statewide network of microlenders.
This has been a most exciting time for our organizations both across the country and here in New York. Nationally CDFIs have received unparalleled levels of recognition and support, and last month the New York State Senate passed a budget resolution which includes the Coalition’s request for $15 million for the State CDFI Fund!
Despite these positive developments, we all know that the communities we serve continue to struggle, and our conference will look at the spectrum of accomplishments and challenges CDFIs can expect to see in the coming year.
