The Federation's 6th Anual Financial Literacy Day: Best Practices Forum, was held at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, on October 29, 2007. It drew approximately one hundred people who came to learn about financial education for youth, immigrants, people living with disabilities, the elderly, and the unbanked.
The program was notable for the broad representation of financial regulators, and the recognition of the increasingly important role credit unions have played in financial literacy. Speakers at the event included The Honorable José Cisneros, Treasurer for the City and County of San Francisco, and NCUA Board Chairman JoAnn Johnson.
