Building assets is crucial to low- and moderate-income individuals in achieving financial stability. Tax filing season is an opportunity to engage members in relevant, actionable and ongoing financial capability programming. A growing
number of credit unions that host or partner in Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites are using this time to discuss asset building products and services.
The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (Federation) is bringing together organizations to discuss new and innovative products and services that can help members make the most of their refunds.
We will discuss the resources offered by:
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
- SaveUSA and
- Doorways to Dreams (D2D)
We will also have an opportunity to discuss the impact of Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on families and communities. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the experts and bring additional resources to your credit union and members.
