House keysOffering the homeownership education, counseling, and financing that your members need to buy or stay in their homes builds long-term loyalty and community impact.  The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions is a HUD-approved National Housing Counseling Intermediary that enables credit unions and their local partners to become HUD-approved counseling agencies.   Since 2008, the Federation has helped thousands become first-time homebuyers through counseling that not only connects the homebuyer to the right mortgage loan for them, but provides the skills, knowledge and preparation for successful homeownership.   This year, the Federation has partnered with NeighborWorks America to better connect credit unions around the country to homeownership counseling and support services that will increase credit union lending for affordable homeownership.   Learn more about how to connect your credit union to the resources and supports available to foster homeownership at the local level.

On this webinar, Ann Solomon, coordinator of the Federation’s Housing Counseling Network, will present on pathways to building successful housing counseling programs; Eileen Anderson, Senior Relationship Manager in Homeownership for NeighborWorks America, will highlight opportunities to partner with NeighborWorks organizations across the Northeast and the country; and Cheryl Fatnassi, President and CEO of Opportunities Credit Union will share how Opportunities’ offers a range of affordable housing services and resources to members in their Vermont community.   Don’t miss this opportunity to grow your mortgage lending and support your members to become successful homeowners!
