$2 MM in NCUA Grants Available to Low-Income Designated Credit Unions
In 2016 the NCUA Grant Program will provide $2 million in funding to low income designated credit unions that serve low income communities. Initiatives eligible for funding of up to $15,000 per program include Capacity and Growth, Cyber Security, Staff Training and Student Internships. The Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives administers the grant program, but credit unions of all asset sizes that are low income designated can apply for a grant. Applications for the 2016 Grant Round will be accepted from June 1 to June 30, 2016.
